What happens to customer and employee information
The first question most owners ask is what happens to the people in their records: customers, employees, vendors. Here is the honest answer.
What leaves your systems
The buyer licenses the records as they are. They are not anonymized before they leave your company. That is why scope, contracts and approval matter, and why you approve each system before anything is shared.
What the buyer does with them
- Stores the licensed records securely, under contract.
- De-identifies them before any AI model is trained on them, so models never see who your customers or employees are.
- Deletes them at the end of the agreed term.
Where the data goes
Records go from your systems directly to the buyer. knownlab never stores or handles your raw data. We coordinate scope and paperwork; we are not a middleman for the files.
Limits to check first
Customer contracts, privacy law and software licenses can restrict what you may share. These are flagged in the assessment, and your counsel reviews the contract before anything is signed.
